Handle treatments to make your nosegays breathtaking.
While the majority of
attention in any nosegay is likely to be paid to the floral part of the design,
the handle of such a fine piece should not be ignored. With just a few extra
seconds, even a nosegay of standard carnations can be made fabulous when a bit
of attention is paid to the handle.
HOW TO:
Soak the foam part of the holder in a flower food solution, and arrange the
carnations into the foam.
MATERIALS: “Twist in Gold” and “Hammered in Silver”

HOW TO:
Arrange carnations into a straight-handled bouquet holder
that has been soaked in a flower food solution. Insert the
holder into the Posy Pocket.
MATERIALS: FloraShapes™ Bridal Bouquet Holder from
Floralife, Inc.; Posy Pocket from Cameo MacGuffin;
carnations from favorite supplier. |

HOW TO:
Arrange carnations into a straight-handled bouquet holder
that has been soaked in a flower food solution. Secure the
holder to the inside of the tussie-mussie with floral
adhesive.
MATERIALS: FloraShapes™ Bridal Bouquet Holder and
FloraGlu™ from Floralife, Inc.; bronze tussie-mussie with
Rose Stand from S.N.K. Enterprises, Inc.; carnations from

HOW TO:
Arrange carnations into a straight-handled bouquet holder
that has been soaked in a flower food solution. Then firmly
push the holder through the elastic loop inside and down
into the Bouquet Cozy.
MATERIALS: Petite Venus Straight Handle Bouquet
Holder and Beaded Elegance Bouquet Cozy from Syndicate
Sales; carnations from favorite supplier. |

HOW TO:
Arrange carnations into a straight-handled bouquet holder
that has been soaked in a flower food solution. Wrap two
bands of waterproof tape around carnation stems, and cover
the tape with ribbon. Secure the handle of the holder into
the center of the stems with floral adhesive.
