modernized bud vases

Easy custom enhancements update and personalize

Featuring a red rose or two dropped into small vessels, basic bud-vase designs are always in vogue for Valentine’s Day. To update the classic for budget-conscious buyers, who often tend to be younger, a few minor adjustments, starting with the frosted square containers, are implemented.
The flat sides of the square vases lend themselves to the application of self-adhesive letters to express sweet sentiments appropriate for youthful clients. These can be applied well in advance of the holiday rush and, if needed, easily added to a blank vessel at a customer’s request.
Another do-ahead enhancement—the strips of mesh fabric that are tucked into the vases—are decorative as well as functional because they fill a bit of space in the vase openings and create tension that supports the blooms’ upright positions.
The strips of fabric, cut into strips slightly wider than the widths of the vessels, are simply tucked around the salal leaves and roses.
